Speedy Builders

Seriously our house is coming along so quickly I'm having a hard time keeping up with all of it! So here is an update.  We are mostly likely going to have a completed house by the end of the month (we are hoping sooner but I'm saying the end of the month for my own sanity) Then we just have to get all the paperwork finished up and we should be set.

The house has stucco on it now and it should have the final coat on it, but it isn't wood colored anymore, so that is enough progress for a picture.
Marin and Paxton showing off the entry way with our textured walls with rounded corners.....it now looks like
THIS!!  Dirty wood floors, pretty painted walls, and a dang cute little boy in a bucket. Brilliant!

Our kitchen a week or so ago.  We were there  cleaning up can't you tell?
My kitchen now!  The picture is a little blurry sorry.  Cabinets, flooring, and paint....SO excited I can't even tell you!

The view from the kitchen into the family room and in a round about way down the hall.

Mark did all the finish work in the house, it looks great! Paxton loved helping out his Dad. Mark had lots of help.

D. Jay

Skylar
Mark's favorite helper ever.  If I do say so myself I have got killer skills on whatever saw this is.  44 cuts later....every single whatever I cut was perfect.  See I really knew what I was doing and what I'm talking about.
ha ha ha I had to put this up.
Ah...there is that face I love so much.

The kids are always excited to go out to the house and clean up, good thing it keeps changing it keeps them entertained to walk around the house and point out everything that has changed. Then they fight over who gets what broom.

We are in the final stages of things and we couldn't be more excited!  Paxton like in our family blog now is in love with being inside buckets, luckily this one was cleaned out before he stuck his cute self in there.

Windows, Doors, and a fire

What feels like days has only been like an hour of trying to get pictures off the phone and onto the computer and then finding them...oi.  What a process that was but I'm smarter because of it so that is good right?

This is an old picture of our footings but you can see all our little shadows so I thought I would put it up.

Here is Marin standing in the linen closet in her bathroom but is facing in her room.  She loves to go and sit by her window and talks about how she is going to have a purple door...not sure how I'm going to pull that off but...I might have just had a genius idea while writing this...I will see if I can pull it off.

Here is Paxton running (imagine that) into his room, we have the hardest time getting him to stand still for anything.  As you can imagine he is the least excited about this house being built.  However all the areas he can run through is sure fascinating. Boys.

Marin and Paxton in the wall in between their rooms.  He loves to do anything and everything Marin is doing which is great and sometimes dangerous for both parties.

I am not gonna lie I'm pretty excited about this area of our house...yes that is the garage.  I get a little giddy every time I see it.  I guess maybe because I have had a family room, kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, but never a garage! I know garages are usually man zones but seriously SO PUMPED!
My Mother in Law talked about how clean our house is every time she goes by and sees it....well here is why.
Here is another good example of why. Yes my son isn't wearing pants but he was wearing pants and he was so hot so I figure when he is older it isn't okay to just drop your pants so he might as well take advantage of it while he can.

Now for the title of the blog.  we have windows, exterior doors, plumbing, heating, electric is completed ,concrete is finished.  It is coming right along.  We are hoping to be in the end of July first part of August...here is hoping! House is suppose to be done the middle of July then we have all that paper work...oh the paperwork.

Eagle Mountain currently has some down right impressive bush fires going on and wouldn't you know it they are happening near my house.  I keep telling myself it is better to have it burnt to the ground now instead of when I am living there. I think it is pretty well died down of course will all the smoke I can't really tell from up in Alpine.

This are coming along and I have a few projects I need to get working on before we move into the house including a project using old wood from Mark's Grandparents house which I am so excited about!

oops...A lot has happened!

I am such a slacker....my bad!  Spring has taken a lot out of me. So we got footings...

And a little bit of a basement........

Now we have walls!  How speedy was that?!?

Marin in her room looking out her window.

Mark and Paxton in what I think is our family room....I think.  Yeah I'm pretty sure this is our family room.  We are heading out to go look at it in a minute because we hear we have been roofed!

We have a hole!!

Such a pretty mound of dirt don't you think? Turns out we don't have a permit to build yet so the hole won't change much in the next little bit. It is a start though. The family is in the hole! Paxton didn't want anything to do with his dorky family but we are together FOREVER so run as he might he can't escape us!

Trying to run again, but he wasn't fast enough!

Running again. It was cold so I think he is just trying to stay warm instead of avoiding taking pictures over such silly things, like our beautiful hole : )

Gotta get us inside what is going to be our basement. SO EXCITING!

I guess the next step is footings and foundations...well probably finishing digging the hole is before that. But it is coming along! WAHOO!!!
